The Cocaine Princess synopsis Alexus Costilla is an 18-year-old Brownsville, Texas native who bears a striking resemblance to Young Money superstar Nicki Minaj. Raised by her father, a ruthless Mexican drug cartel boss, and her mother, a strong-spirited black woman with an MBA from Harvard, it's no surprise that when Alexus graduates from high school text books to kilos of cocaine and heroin, she quickly becomes one of the best to ever do it in the dope game. After her father, Juan "Papi" Costilla, is sent away to federal prison, Alexus soon finds herself in Michigan City, Indiana with her mother, Rita Mae Bishop. With $250,000 in cash and 48 kilos of pure cocaine--stuffed inside large soup cans and smuggled into the country through her family's drug tunnel-- Alexus sets out to build herself a BMF-like drug-dealing ring, utilizing the connections of her numerous lovers to maximize her bankroll. But will she survive the wrath of the Costilla cartel when a portion of it turns against her? Find out in...

I enjoyed the supporting cast way more than I enjoyed the Cocaine Princess aka Alexus. Cereniti was funny with her NY style of talking and Alexus's mom was the bomb, classy, elegant and god fearing. Ms. Cocaine Princess aka Alexus was very annoying, young and dumb in many ways (Maybe the author was hoping to get that reaction from the reader?)The author spent a little too much time on Alexus's physical attributes and how she looked like a certain tv personality/wanna be singer. (The young lady on the cover is prettier and has a gorgeous shape, why not describe her in detail? I think Alexus may have been more appealing in my mind).
As a whole I think the story was decent, I wish the story revolved more on the Castilla family (Alexus parents, her grandmother who is running shop now and what happened in Juarez).
Rio the author has potential, he is on a great publishing team and I hope he keeps his head up while he is locked behind those bars. Best of luck to him in the future.

The Cocaine Princess edition by Rio Allyson Deese Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
The writer has a good story line. N I was feeling Alexus but she n not that smart to me to becoming this Drug dealer. For her to be giving money away n drugs to her cousin who she know be using.. she was more like a hoe then anything. Just dumb. I was going to get the other books but the reviews was good n bad but it make me wonder what happen to Blake n etc in the story. Which is alot of people I'm trying to keep up with... ??????
This so could have been better. I was expecting a lot more than what was delivered. There were some points where I thought things were starting to really look up. Alexis was very money minded. Its amazing the things that can be achieved when you put forth the effort.
Sadly she thought to put the effort into the drug cartel and selling kilos of cocaine. Either way she was a bad chick.
This book had me captivated from the beginning to the end!
Yes there is a lot of name dropping and I've read some book that had some corny ass name dropping but this author blended everything well and it didn't bother me one bit ... It actually gave me a better picture of the story.
I would definitely recommend this book to others.
Now on to book 2 !
Yes lil miss cocaine princess is off the chain. After her mother and her left Texas to start a new life in Indiana, Alexus found herself missing her incarcerated father Juan Costilla and also secretly wanting to keep his drug legacy going. Against her mother wishes she start plotting on how to become the next powerful Mexican Cartel. But being unfamiliar with the history of the town, the hustle, and the people. She finds herself in the middle of chaos. When she be able to pull off her hustle???
This is my first time reading this author and I was blown away!! I loved the book from start to finish and have already downloaded/purchased part 2!!! It was full of drama, intrigue, sex, and all those good things!! The characters were well developed and the writing was on point. The author's attention to detail held me captive and not wanting to put the book down!! I will definitely continue reading Rio's books!!! Excellent!!
This book is addicting. You can't read the first one and not want to read the rest of the series. I enjoyed every page and I'm now attached to the characters and must finish the entire series. Alexus is off the chains and sometimes I love her and sometimes I hate her. That's how you know when you've created a solid character. I love the details throughout the story and I would definitely recommend this book to fans of urban fiction. As a writer, Rio is on my list of favs.
I enjoyed the book it could have been better if some of the name- dropping would not have been in book, need to have a little more information on Dad before jail which would of given you a little more information on family and then you would have had a better concept of her becoming cocaine princess, because she was doing so much and was not really showing herself as a real drug dealer but more of a rich spoiled kid....the book had a lot of characters to try and follow as you go into buying each sequel. Being that this is the author's first book if they would take all the good suggestions in book reviews and bring forward while writing other books they will become a top-knotch writer, author has a lot of ideas in writing but need to just keep it real and realistic so readers can feel your characters and not think this is a joke then you will go far.
